Lovely cottage to spend Christmas in, everything has been thought of and we really appreciated the Christmas here and thoughtful decorations. Rates as one of our top cottages. Thank you to both of you for your friendliness and help during our stay.

Wonderful-warm, superbly clean, friendly ... great walks even in the rain. Would recommend Dog and Partridge (Hesketh Lane) v good 2/3 course (£15-£17) lunch and good service. Really hope to come again, definitely deserves all the awards.

Thank you for a marvellous holiday!! We hope to come again, Grandad loved his outing on the Tramper. Josh enjoyed the freedom of setting  off on his bicycle on his own and exploring. It was lovely to be able to host visiting Grandad from Garstang. We will certainly recommend Bleasdale Cottages and think of you whenever we use the hare eggcup. Thank you for your hospitality.

Such a Beautiful place with a lovely welcome and amazing little cakes!
Everything about these cottages was so well thought of ...The kids really enjoyed the barn, I must admit we did too! Seeing so much wildlife around the cottages was lovely – we don’t see so much wildlife at home.

We would like to say a big thank you to Robert and Anne for a wonderful stay and great location, we look forward to coming back, Thank you.

Very comfortable and welcoming place, in spite of our stay during the Lancashire monsoon, we managed to see much of the local area and wildlife, particularly the hares. Eliza thoroughly enjoyed  playing in the barn (a real asset). Thank you Robert and Anne for being such great hosts, thanks especially for the cakes and loan of paints, I was inspired to create 15+ artworks in the week, Interesting to hear about the wood fuel heating, and we hope the good work on the farm continues to develop in the future, How about a water mill?!

What a wonderful setting to enjoy a week away with friends! How lovely to walk up traffic free roads and watch the lambs play. Lots of amazing birds including the blue tits nesting in the wall visible from the lounge door! We counted 32 types of birds this week, to see and hear the Curlews was lovely. The house was spotless and had everything we could wish for including a lovely welcome. Thank you so much.

The cottage was the perfect place for us to roam the region - Liverpool,a tour of John and Pauls houses to Morecambe Bay. We also visited Parlick and surrounding fells and had some wonderful meals at the Whitewell Inn and the Three Fishes. Were most impressed by the standard of local foods we bought in Farm shops - we ate a bit too much!!Finally the cottage had all we needed; it was very comfortable and we loved the solitude. Many Thanks S and J.

Brook house certainly ticked all the boxes, Anne and Robert have been excellent hosts. As a keen fly fisherman the lake provided a real challenge - lots of weed! No problem - Robert produced a boat, oars, rope and much fun was had clearing a patch big enough to stalk fish. Success! Trout for supper! All in all a wonderful week in a beautiful location. Thanks Jon and Jacqui.

John and Jacqui, Wellington, Shropshire July 09

Beautiful, comfortable cottage.Probably the best we've stayed in. 7 days not really long enough in this area. Nice local scenic villages - Downham and Bolton-by-Bowland. Good places for birds - Leighton Moss RSPB, Marshside RSPB, Martin Mere and Stocks Resevoir. Good local meal at Dog and Partridge near Chipping - about 5 miles. Weather was very showery, but not too bad. Look out for hares passing by the back door in the morning.
